Times are changing and so are we...


Being one of the oldest and for many years the leading brand in the Greek tourism sector, Hellenic Tours – Hellenic Island Services has always had to look forward and be open and responsive to changes in the tourism market and the world.

 

The strive forward has and will always run parallel with Hellenic Tours – Hellenic Island Services desire to be up-to-date concerning the latest in data technology, work procedures and environment issues.

 

Today Hellenic Tours - Hellenic Island Services maintains a wide network throughout Greece, consisting of 15 subsidiary companies, operating in all major Greek destinations, and a number of well established subagents on smaller destinations.

 

All together, Hellenic Tours and Hellenic Island Services, holds a 5% share of the total incoming tourism to Greece and 15% of the incoming chartered flights to Greece.

 

1953

  • Hellenic Tours was established, the office was and still is located in Athens. Since first established the address has changed and today we exist in a new modern building with comfortable environment and the latest IT infrastructure.


1974

  • Following a period of growth and expansion Hellenic Tours become member of Kuoni Travel Group, one of the world’s leading travel groups.


1989

  • Kos office was established under the name Dodecanese Travel.


1994

  • Hellenic Tours starts to establish affiliated offices on major Greek tourist destinations under the name of Hellenic Island Services. Crete was the first office, soon followed by other destinations.


1997

  • Hellenic Island Services Rhodes was established. It was a natural expansion as Rhodes was and still is one of Greece biggest and most famous tourist destinations.


2000

  • Mykonos, undoubtedly the most famous of the Cyclades islands was the next destination on our list for establishing the first tourist office network throughout Greece.

     

2001

  • The expansion of our network and business is on the right track, two more destinations are included, Samos and Santorini.

     

2002

  • Corfu, Lesvos and Skiathos three charming islands, located in different corners of Greece are added to the Hellenic Island Services network.

     

2004

  • Mare Blue Hellas Hotel and Real Estate Management Company is established in Crete. This adds another dimension to our company and enables us to provide new services and higher consistency.

     

2006

  • Halkidiki, Kefalonia and Zakynthos are the latest Hellenic Island Services offices to be opened and today the network consist of thirteen destinations with Hellenic Island Services offices plus a number of smaller destinations with well established subagents.
